▌█ ∵ 🏥 ∵ █ ▌ It had all started with a coughing fit. It happened sometimes but a lot more now, Derry was different from the city and her body was still adjusting to the rural area. The good news was at least this place was big enough to have its own pharmacy. She still hadn’t gone to school so the number of friends she had was still in the negative numbers.
Although, she figured that it was about to change. Bright smile at hearing she wasn’t the only one who had horrific lungs. Raising inhaler with bright smile, it had been painted to look like a galaxy. ❝If you are serious you are my new and first best friend here. I thought I would be the only one. Back in the city there were a few other people but out here it seems like everyone is either perfectly health and an idiot or perfectly healthy and an asshole.❞ She had heard the whispers, and stories about Henry Bowers and Greta, who was ironically the daughter of her new pharmacist. She had thus far managed to fly under the radar avoiding her. Thankful that school had yet to be experienced in honesty, they scared her. Coming from a city girl that had to mean something, then again most of the people at her old school were afraid to even talk to her. Then again having a terminal illness tended to freak people out and act like she was some sort of flower that could crumble at any touch. And as much as he seemed to freak out when she casually brought it up.
Hair being pushed back there was another pause. Holding out her hand a bright smile was directed at him realizing she still hadn’t introduced herself to him. Just rambling about how excited she was about not being alone.❝I’m Sara Hopper, I just moved here with my mom. And I have to know one thing before I officially decide you really are my best friend.❞ Dramatic pause as eyes narrowed before head tilted, hand still being held out almost as if it was a challenge for him to take now.❝How do you feel about outer space, and the existence of aliens?❞
